Welcome to Soja Studios… a Hair, Beauty & Wellness collective founded by co-owners Jordana Southwell & James Joblin. Soja Studios first opened in East Brisbane in 2020 and have since established a huge name for themselves and have quickly outgrown their little hair studio.

From their combined experience in the industry & endless discussions with clients, the pair discovered there was something missing in the market for a home of talented & trusted professionals offering not only hair but all of the luxury self care appointments under one roof.

At the heart of Soja Studios you will find a relaxing & trendy hair salon with a team of experienced hair colourists and stylists. Alongside our salon, we also have 6 treatment suites filled with our talented team of freelance professionals offering luxurious beauty services.

Jordana Southwell

FOUNDER
HAIR STYLIST
Jordana boasts more than 11 years in the industry. She has a love for natural and lived in colours all whilst maintaining the integrity of your hair. Jordana believes in only using the best products for your hair and the environment, enter Kevin Murphy - an eco-conscious brand dedicated to giving back and taking care of the earth.
Jordana has a natural gift for creating beautifully blended & seamless balayages with her favourite colours being sparkling brunettes and lived-in blondes.

James Joblin

FOUNDER

With 7 years in the Industry under his belt, James is a true master of his trade. His work is inspired by natural, beachy vibes and loves to take on a 'less is more' approach and uses a perfect combo of intricate colour placement to create a look to suit every individual.

Georgia Ferguson

HAIR STYLIST
If you’re looking for a blonde specialist- Georgia is your girl! With over 8 years of experience under her belt, she has grown a strong love for her bright, clean & creamy blondes. With incredible techniques behind her you can sit back & relax knowing you are in for the best hair transformations!

Hailing from coastal Tasmania & recently moved to Brisbane. Coming from the beach, Taya has adapted a coastal outlook to hair. Creating beautiful sun-kissed brunettes & beachy blondes!
Taya has a natural talent for her haircuts & styling with a focus on her 70’s face framing bangs & butterfly haircuts! She is an absolute perfectionist when it comes to hair and you are guaranteed to leave absolutely loving your hair!

Our newest addition to the Soja family. With such a bright & bubbly personality, Sara is the perfect fit for our team. Sara is a natural born talent for her bright & beachy blondes. Ben Burford

Ben has been Hairdressing for just over 8 years, and after a year in Melbourne he’s returned back home to Sunny QLD to join the Soja Fam.
He’s an absolute talent at big transformations and dimensional blondes & brunettes! He often is told of how great of a listener he is, and is always putting the clients wants & needs first. He’s the most gentle soul and will treat your hair with the utmost care & respect, plus he gives a killer head massage.
When Ben isn’t in the salon, you can find him spending wholesome weekends at home with his partner, visiting family at the gold-coast or relaxing at the beach.
